Why is this free disposal offered?

• In order for Delaware to maintain its Scrapie Consistent Status with USDA, the State Veterinarian is encouraging producers to consider submitting adult sheep and goats that die on Delaware farms for free disposal and testing.
• If you are unable to bring the deceased animal to the Department of Agriculture in Dover, our inspectors are able to arrange pickup at your Delaware farm.
• All adult animals will be tested for Scrapie.
