Health Certificates

Overview

The Delaware Department of Agriculture Poultry Animal Health section can no longer issue Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (CVIs), also called health certificates. CVIs are required for any animal, including livestock, traveling out of state. A licensed veterinarian must issue a CVI, which is only valid for 30 days. The DDA State veterinarians must serve as regulatory veterinarians and will continue to work as liaisons between our federal partners and local veterinarians. If you need a large animal veterinarian for livestock, please refer to the Livestock Veterinarian Resource Guide.
