Registered Serviceperson


Serviceperson Registration

The Weights and Measures section accepts reciprocal registration for technicians registered in another state. Under this program, a serviceperson who can demonstrate current legal registration in any other state will be allowed to register in Delaware.

The Weights and Measures Section will also accept the NCWM (National Council on Weights and Measures) Registered Service Agent (RSA) certification. Currently, NCWM offers exams for EVSE, Large and Small Capacity Scales, Retail Motor Fuel, as well as several others.

Please note: Servicepersons will still need to register with Delaware, pay the one-time $25.00 fee, and provide certifications for standards.

Applicants not licensed in other states or certified through NCWM must pass the Delaware test, which is available below, demonstrating proficiency with NIST HB 44 and Delaware Code (Title 6, Chapter 51), and comply with other registration regulations.

To make a payment for a license or registration, the Delaware Department of Agriculture can accept:

  • A Check or Money Order payable to: Delaware Department of Agriculture Weights and Measures and mailed with your application to 2320 S. DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE 19901;
  • A Credit Card through our Online Payment Portal; or
  • Visit our office at 2320 S. DuPont Hwy, Dover, DE (use Camden is following GPS) to use credit card or to deliver payment.
